Tool US Tour 2024
Tool have announced a two-week stretch of dates for May that will be bookended by a pair of festivals. Shows begin at Welcome to Rockville on May 5 in Jacksonville, Fla., and wind up at the Chicago Open Air Festival on May 19 in Bridgeview, Ill. In between, Tool will play arenas across the Southeast and Midwest, with a stop at the inaugural Epicenter Festival on May 11 in Rockingham, N.C..
Tool’s new tour and album, however, arrive amidst allegations that Keenan raped a 17-year-old woman in 2000 when he was 36. Last June, an anonymous woman took to Twitter using the handle @IWas17HeWas36 and claimed the attack took place after a Nine Inch Nails concert, which featured Keenan’s other band, A Perfect Circle, as the opener. The woman alleged that Keenan spotted her in the crowd, took her back to his tour bus, put a movie on, began touching her and taking off his clothes.
The newly announced gigs are comprised of seven shows mainly in the Southeast and Midwest, including Birmingham, Alabama; Louisville, Kentucky; Hampton Virginia; St. Louis, Missouri; Kansas City, Missouri; Lincoln, Nebraska; and Des Moines, Iowa. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 15th.
